“Stairway to the top”, by Ben Tiggelaar and IE (Instituto de Empresa)
As part of the actions to present the Advanced Management Program The Netherlands (AMP) of IE Business School, we would like to invite all the members of the AEPH next December 9th to take part in this outstanding and innovative event “Stairway to the top” by Ben Tiggelaar, Dutch Management and Leadership guru and also TV celebrity, that will take place in Amsterdam.
Stairway to the top
During the event we will be joined by Dr. Ben Tiggelaar, who will share with us ideas about Five steps to becoming a more effective leader.
- Most leaders are not aware, but of all the factors that influence professionals in the workplace, the actions of the leader who is most near, have the greatest impact on performance and engagement.
- However… The majority of professionals worldwide (yes, that includes The Netherlands) claim that their supervisors, managers and team leaders create a demotivating working environment. What is going wrong?
- Decades of research show that leaders need to concentrate not only on the work at hand, but also -even more- on the individuals who get the job done. What do employees need from their leaders?
- What is necessary to build a more productive and engaging workplace? What are some practical steps that are easy to implement? What can leaders do to become more effective at their jobs?
Dr. Ben Tiggelaar is probably the best-known Dutch management teacher. He is an independent researcher and writer who has studied the subjects of change and leadership for over 25 years, who’s goal is helping people to turn their dreams into actions. Since 2000, six of Ben’s books have reached the number one position in the Dutch management books top-10. Ben’s annual seminar ‘MBA in One Day’, which over 16,000 managers have attended, is the best-attended seminar ever in the Netherlands and has licensees in all parts of the world.
Starting in 2016 Ben will be a visiting professor at IE Business School, one of the top ranking business schools in Europe, according to Financial Times, The Economist, Forbes and Businessweek.
The IE Business School
Even though IE Business School is not yet a familiar name to the Dutch, it is considered to be one of the best business schools in the world. The Advanced Management program had recently received very high qualifications in professional reviews from The Economist, Financial Times and other renowned publications.
This innovative first Advanced Management Program, starting by the end of March 2016, will consist of a part-time study of four months, focusing on talented managers looking to take the next step in their careers. IE believes that business education is not just about creating good marketers, competent financial engineers, or accomplished management technicians, but also global citizens, where the education also involves a personal transformation process and where the human sciences are integrated within the business curriculums.
