 Trabajo, tesón y persistencia
Por Karina Miñano Me he preguntado muchas veces qué es realmente el éxito. Es, tal como dice el diccionario, el resultado feliz de un negocio o la buena aceptación que tiene alguien o algo. Tal vez deberia mencionar que la palabra éxito no está presente en el vocabulario de muchos, especialmente de aquellos y aquellas que trabajando sol a sol, día a día, exprimiendo los minutos a las horas ven los resultados convertidos en contratos, reconocimiento, respeto y crecimiento profesional. Y aunque no lo dijo con estas palabras, Mireia Pons Pedreny conoce el éxito a través de su esfuerzo, constancia y dedicación.
Era el año 2000 cuando nace Mireia Import, en Haarlem y con distintos productos españoles a modo de prueba hasta encontrar aquel o aquellos que pegarían en el mercado holandés y comercializarlos definitivamente. Sin embargo, en el corazón de su fundadora crecía el amor y el gusto por esa bebida aromática, de sabor equilibrado y con un conjunto armónico de cualidades; amor y curiosidad que la llevarían a tomar cursos para especializarse y finalmente dedicarse en cuerpo y alma a la distribución de vinos, cavas y délicatesses. |

 El estratega, el abogado, el hombre y el padre: Camilo
Por Karina Miñano No sé cuántas entrevistas he hecho a lo largo de mi carrera periodística en Perú, pero hasta ahora no había entrevistado a un abogado. Y mucho menos sobre aspectos personales. Algunos colegas me decían que los abogados tienden a pensar mucho antes de contestar, lo que nos hacía creer que podrían estar pensando en la famosa frase policial "todo lo que diga podría ser usado en su contra". Pero Camilo es un abogado que habla con pasión sobre su carrera y si bien piensa mucho antes de contestar, o tal vez rebusca entre las palabras las más adecuadas, te da seguridad y confianza en lo que dice. Es fácil conversar con él. Crea un ambiente agradable y no hablo de uno físico sino de ese que se camufla en la conversación y te da la soltura y serenidad necesarias para hacer de una entrevista un relato interesante.

 A return to the caves, a return home
By Karina Miñano Curiosity brought him to Amsterdam and love is taking him back home; the Canary Islands. There, he will begin to build a new life, a life he postponed in order to travel, to learn, to break new ground in a country that would help him grow both personally and professionally. Dailos Medina grew up among the comfort and luxury that a big city such as Las Palmas can offer, but also among the uneven, rough and creviced walls of the caves of Artenara, the smallest village in the Canary Islands. People here in Holland affectionately call me “the cave man” and it surprises them when I tell them that my father’s house, the one in which I grew up, is actually inside a cave, Dailos says freely. In fact, they still build houses within caves in Artenara. And the temperature? “Actually, the cave cools you down in the summer and keeps you warm in the winter. You don’t need air-conditioning or heating” |

 Txema-uncovered

Although he is very proud of his “motherland” he considers himself a global citizen, with an adventurous spirit that has taken him to remote places where few dare to go.
